Getting three tens in a Portsmouth round is quite an achievement with a bow with sights, but when Terry Rehead nearly scored three tens it was doubly impressive as he was shooting his longbow. On closer inspection he just missed out on a perfect score but the three arrows were grouped very close together and as this was such an impressive end, there was a general round of applause for him.

Not to be outdone by Terry’s near perfect end, Ann Conifey, who started to concentrate on Longbow in January, managed to get three tens outdoors, on the first shoot in May.

“I was focusing so hard on the shooting, I hadn’t realised everyone was watching, until there was a great cheer when the last arrow went into the ten”
